No parent or grandparent starts off knowing what to do...

Without Conscious Effort, Our Parenting Methods Can Create Conflict Instead of Connection.

The authoritarian way most of us have been taught to parent, creates conflict and frustration, endless power struggles and leaves us with broken and distant relationships with our children.

When we parent our children without working through our own history, we are destined to repeat painful patterns we ourselves experienced as children, no matter how badly we want it to be different.

Empathy

Nurture empathy within yourself, so future generations can thrive in a compassionate world

Connection

Create a relationship with your children based on trust, connection and collaboration

Cooperation

Experience peace, harmony and mutual cooperation with your children

It’s Never Too Late to
Turn Things Around

No matter what your relationship with your child(ren) looks like right now, there is hope.

Depending on where things are at, it can be hard to believe there is truly another way. But I promise you there is.

None of us start off as parents or grandparents knowing what to do. We create plans, try to be the people we want to be and watch as our idealistic imaginings get run over by the reality of daily life and the immense pressures of caring for our kids.

What Clients Are Saying...

“Patricia’s coaching helped my mom be a better parent. We actually talk to each other instead of texting and we listen to each other without judgment. Being 16, I feel lucky to have this new connection with my mom.”

-Faye P.

“Patricia is a joy to work with and she provided reassurance that our son is progressing as he should. With Patricia, you’ll have a supportive and positive guide through the challenging early stages of parenting.”

Hi! I’m Patricia Camras

CERTIFIED PARENT COACH

M.A. IN PSYCHOLOGY

I am a parent of two grown sons and a grandparent of two. They all call me “Bubbie”, which is Yiddish for grandmother. I am honored and privileged to be my family’s Bubbie and to have watched them blossom over the years.

As a former elementary school teacher and educator for the Center for Human Development, I came to understand how it was possible to build a relationship with children based on mutual trust, understanding, and care. I am deeply committed to supporting parents and grandparents in this life-changing work.

I believe all children, at any age, deserve to be guided and loved by the best version that each of us has to offer, as parents and grandparents. Now more than ever, parents are drowning in information and starving for wisdom. I am dedicated to helping parents and grandparents navigate the challenging journey of parenting without losing themselves in the process.

My passion is helping parents and grandparents forge deeper connections and cooperation with their kids, without yelling, shaming, or threatening, all in service of creating a peaceful and positive family life where kids thrive and parents enjoy parenting.

The traditional

‘power-over’ model of parenting isn’t working.

It makes you feel like you’re not doing a good job.

But that's not the truth. I believe that the real issue is that we’re not taught how to be the kind of parents and grandparents most of us long to be so we end up slipping into the patterns that were ingrained in us in our own childhoods.

Which is why when you contact me, you will be met with understanding, a non-judgemental openness and a supportive, personalized, effective plan that I will personally guide you through every step of the way.

How It Works:

When you book a call with me, we’ll sit down together and talk so I can get a sense of what’s going on for you and your family and where I can offer support.

I’ll explain my approach and the options we have for working together. You can ask any questions you have and see what type of support would be the best fit for your life and schedule.

If it feels right to you, we can book our first session and get started.  If it’s not a good fit, I will do my best to offer alternative resources or suggestions for support, wherever possible. There’s no pressure of any kind, simply an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.
